The free webinar is intended to provide an overview of the recent BS 60080 standard 2020 edition titled “Explosive and Toxic Atmospheres – Hazard Detection Mapping – Guide to Placement of Fire and Gas Detection Devices Permanently Installed Using Software Tools and Others techniques “.
The standard was developed by a commission chaired by James McNay of Micropack.
As part of the intervention, which will last about 1 hour and a half, the principles of the standard will be presented together with some practical cases realized with the HazMap 3D calculation code. The webinar will also clarify:
- the principles of functional safety according to the IEC 61511 standard relating to Fire & Gas systems;
- the possibility of using the F&G mapping techniques for the purpose of satisfying the requirements of Legislative Decree 105/2015 and of the fire prevention studies connected with the procedures referred to in the D.P.R. 151/2011.
The intervention will be conducted by TECSA S.r.l. in possession of the international Fire & Gas Professional (FGP) certification issued by Exida.
