Study of the causes behind the fire in April 2008 that devastated the south-east tower of the Castle of Moncalieri.
Drafting of the three-dimensional model of the environments affected by the fire and fluid dynamic analysis of the event in order to identify the possible causes at the origin of the event as well as the dynamics observed.
The activity was carried out for the purpose of carrying out a technical consultancy arranged by the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Turin and led to the subsequent elaboration of a series of scientific contributions on the dynamics of smoldering combustion that characterized one of the main phases of the dynamics observed and reconstructed on the computer.
