Together with Chaos Consulting S.r.l., a company expert in enteprise ris k management (ERM) and organization complexity and resilience assessment, an analogue tool has been developed, consisting of a thematic pack of cards to be simply used with post-it notes, paper and pen, to accompany individual or group Bow-Tie analysis sessions.
The tool, designed by leading experts in Bow-Tie, authors of numerous publications on the method at the national level and at the international level is a simple and immediate tool to learn in an effective and structured way the methodology of analysis in the specific declination of process industry risks.
This product contains a series of ‘canvas’ that drive the user in the application of the method to process safety, enabling specific in-depth studies to be carried out, including: identification of hazards (HAZID), evaluation of the type of barriers and controls, verification of their criticality for safety purposes, and definition of their performance level. The tool, accompanied by a concise manual for the application of the method, is aimed at experts in analysis for the improvement of sessions, at novices who wish to deepen the “barrier based” approach to the management of risks typical of the process industry, at students and trainers in the field of safety, as well as Safety and HSE Managers.
