FIRE & EXPLOSION RISK ASSESSMENT (FERA) FOR A NEW BIO-FUEL PRODUCTION PLANT

2024 / Risk analysis services / Oil&Gas

A fire and explosion risk assessment (F.E.R.A.) was carried out to assess the degree of asset impairment for a new biofuel production process plant. The study made it possible to determine, on the basis of the hazardous substances processed and their operating conditions, the types of accidental scenarios associated with random rupture releases, the frequencies of occurrence of these scenarios and the consequences on the assets.

Through a subsequent recomposition of the risk, carried out in conjunction with the tolerability criteria provided by the client, it was possible to establish the level of risk acceptability for each type of asset involved.
