The interface fires are fires that have the potential to involve buildings and forest fuel or vegetation.
In this context, by modelling fire scenarios with the FDS software developed by the US NIST, both the propagation mechanism of the forest fire and the temperature field developed by the fire in the vicinity of buildingd adjacent to the fire were investigated.
The development of the fire was modelled in consideration of the characteristics of the vegetation present, the orography of the terrain and the action of the winds acting during the time period considered.
