TECSA S.r.l. adopts the PRINCE2 2009 project management method starting in June 2015, in line with its official partners in the UK and in the Netherlands. This in order to improve at the same time its performance and its integration with the partners with which they are jointly conducted studies in Europe and in the world. This method was integrated into the ISO 9001: 2008 Quality Management System in place at the company. The main suppliers TECSA S.r.l. (including the selected external consultants) were invited to adopt the method themselves and to use the specially prepared information system and made available to them via the web. PRINCE2 (‘refresh’ version or ed. 2009) is a structured approach to project management. It provides a method for their management within a clearly defined work environment. PRINCE2 describes procedures for coordinating people and activities in a project, how to plan and supervise the project, and what to do if the project needs adjustments and if it does not develop as planned. In the method each process is specified with its main inputs, outputs and with specific objectives and activities to be implemented, which give automatic control of any deviation from the plan. Divided into manageable cycles, the method allows efficient control of resources. Based on close monitoring, the project can be carried out in a controlled and organized manner. Being a widely recognized and understood structured method, PRINCE2 provides a common language for all project participants. The various management roles and responsibilities involved in the project are fully described and are adaptable to take into account the complexity of the project and the skills of the organization. From June 2015 this method has been successfully used on selected contracts for a countervalue in euro of about 350K euro.
